Organic cladding is increasingly used wherever aesthetics are required in addition to corrosion resistance. Besides the construction industry, coated panels are required by manufacturers of electrical and household appliances as well as the automotive industry. Compared to coating individual pieces, continuous coating of steel strips – coil coating – reduces production costs.
From a technical perspective, the highlight is the compact coating process, but we also ensure that the chemical strip pre-treatment, subsequent color application and drying oven are perfectly synchronized. That way, you achieve excellent quality with low resource and energy consumption.
Color painting line
For the automotive and home appliance industries, architecture and electrical equipment
In a painted line, the strips come into the line alternately from the two paylines and are joined by a stitch into endless strips. Endless strips collect in a vertical loop. Next comes a spray degreaser and strip surface cleaning brush.
A chemcoater then applies a conversion layer, followed by vertical drying. The strip is primed in a main coater, then passes through a first horizontal hardening furnace. Once it passes through the two finishing coats, it is covered with a top coat that hardens in a second horizontal furnace. The next station is a vertical loop. Downstream of this is a test stand that tests the strip before it is cut and wound into coils.

We offer a wide range of coating systems for color coatings. Whichever you choose, you benefit from class-leading accuracy and reliability. Also reliable is our closed-loop thickness adjustment system as it ensures correct coating thickness every time.
Backup roll coat system
Our color coating lines feature extremely precise and reliable backup roll coatings. The standard procedure here is for the top of the strip to be covered by one of two coating decks with three rolls. This means you can change colors and coatings on the fly. Simple rendering: you simply order the rolls to the thickness you require. Just one floor mulch with two or three rolls to cover the bottom surface with one coat.
To avoid vibration, our jacket is very stiff. What also counts is the precise roll adjustment and the roll drive ensuring uniform coating. Installed here is a wiper system that continuously cleans the backup roll. You can use the hydraulic quick release mode to open and close the coating rolls within two seconds to allow the strip joint to pass through.

It is necessary before color coating to apply a passivation coating to the strip surface. This happens in a vertically rolled coater. Our effective control system ensures uniform coating at the required thickness at low media consumption. Also included in our jackets are several circulation systems for quickly changing coating media. You hardly have to wait at all as the rollers, pans and media system are cleaned automatically in less than two minutes.
